irvine california!

this is where I be. irvine. california. course california is where I’ve always been from, but irvine is a NEW THING and a TEMPORARY THING. I’ll be here long enough to get trained (hopefully), then will get shipped back to lower nor-cal, where I will commence maintaining locations all by myself, which is what my job is! yay!
way way tired since I’ve been up-and-about since 6am. hopped on a plane (taking off was the best part as always), and shortly after buckling up I was unbuckling to get off the plane and carry my ten thousand pounds of luggage around. took a few phone-calls before discovering the boss’d pick me up (was all set to take a shuttle to the car rental place). They issued a dodge viper 2007. that thing is huge. can’t figure out if the lights turn themselves on automatically. the hubby’s dad’s does, so, who knows!?? (new cars are SO STRANGE). It’s huge, and apparently has awd, so it’s all smooth and stuff. taking some getting used to with the gas and the brake.
the lady there (at the car rental agency) was nice and helped us out lots
a bunch of my co-workers are wowers too (wore my rogues: original gankstas shirt today, along with the WOW sweater with the rogue and alliance patches on the shoulders, complete with “Blizzard” printed somewhere on the backs), so we talked a bit about wow on their cigarette breaks. My boss is awesome, has a weird sense of humor (which is always good), and obviously works way too hard/much. everybody here seems to. it’s good to know there’ll be plenty to do
went through a few image installations in staging (where POSs get “staged” for placement on location, just to make sure everything connects properly and doesn’t get svchost errors like the one did today ), that was repetitive. fdisk’d a bunch too. that’s always fun DELETE! DELETE! DELETE!
BUAHAHAHA!
anyway.
not sure how much longer I’ll be down here. it’s a bit scary to be alone, but the internet/computer helps big time. I hate laptop keyboards though getting used to it, but I keep getting typos.
need to get some food/drinks (there’s a lil mini-fridge in here under the bathroom sink — good place for it????) in the morning. way thirsty. bleh
tired, waaay way way tired, and I turned the heater on (hey, spring time is still a tad cold here) so it’s making things worse. jason’ll kill me for falling asleep during raw, but hey, I usually do anyway
miss my baby. he’s been fussy today, not letting jason out of his sight. think he senses something’s off, especially since he seems to know days of the week and he knows I’m home on mondays. he was really confused earlier when we were all web-camming together, and jason put me on the television. probably was all lovely and pixelated
all unpacked (throw throw throw, shove shove, close, done), thinking about seeing how uncomfortable the bed is. it’s all stoic looking. big, huge in fact, but stoic. and empty. it’s been years since I’ve gone to bed alone even in the hospital with Jaiden, there was someone in the room next to me. and Jaiden, keeping me up all night with his incessant sucking. he sure has a sucking fetish =o.O=
