okie! been a while since I updated.
to start things off, I got a new drawing! (Cause it makes me happy an stuff
)

I’m hoping that I immediately turn into that after Jaiden is born
anyway!
events up to now:
I got more berry lime sublimes! WOOT!
uuuuhm…
at work, I finished a project I gave myself for when I was gone. toward the last few weeks before maternity leave, they had me off phones and helping the new-hires in a chatroom.
in-between cries for help (and jumping up to help people manually, i.e. fists, etc) I was working on a spreadsheet that’d hopefully be useful for typical solutions to common problems. hopefully it’ll be used. I forwarded all the files to the sups/managers on my last day.
that’s the other thing!
I started maternity leave about two weeks early. my heartbeat’s been pretty erratic, and high. erratic I can deal with, but high is bad. part of it was the heat, and the other part was still being a bit stressed out at work. so now I’m suffering through hours of boredom at home
at least now it’s the time it would’ve been when I started maternity leave. just a million more hours to go.
every day, my belly enlargens. Jason compared my stretch-marks to tiger stripes, cause he knew that’d make me less mad at them
we’re nicknaming the brat Tigger (his middle-name-sake is nicknamed Tiger, and Lil Tiger is a bit hard to say. plus he seems to think my uterus is Rabbit’s vegetable patch, and that his tail is for bouncing). So far we’ve gotten mostly winnie-the-pooh stuff. the crib’s all set up (a weekend of running around got that accomplished — I got infected with nesting syndrome REALLY bad and the whole room got revised). There’s a cute lil tigger plushie in his crib, with winnie-the-pooh sheets and a winnie-the-pooh blankie that’s insanely soft. for some reason I keep looking at green, not blue or yellow or pink. we also got him a cute tigger rattle
his mobile (came with the crib) has eeyore, pooh and piglet on it. we finally got his carseat (it was on sale! woohoo! bout half price
) and his stroller (which his carseat actually clips into, so we don’t have to unbuckle and buckle).
we got a reaaally nice station to put all his clothes and washcloths and other baby-things. it was an assemble-it-yourself deal, only 20 bucks. Of course I was the one to assemble it *eyes Jason* since I appear to be the only mechanically inclined person in this relationship
got all Jaiden’s clothes washed (gotta use special soap and stuff) and a really cute outfit for his first picture (At 3 months, or whenever he fits it). I found a lot of cute stuff on the discount rack (which is about the only rack I’ll ever look through anywhere).
given that I have a huge amount of difficulty settling down and not moving, I’ve been utterly grateful to my co-workers for dragging me out last saturday and a few saturdays before.
we went to the flea market both times, and I got utterly sunburnt. I’m just now recovering. my skin actually -peeled-, which it hasn’t done since I was in high-school. I blame the pregnancy
anyway. brendan, royce, maria, tai, tai’s friend mark and brendan’s girlfriend erlynn all dragged me out to the flea market last saturday (well I went willingly, so it wasn’t really a drag). not sure how many times people went to the ATM (which is conveniently placed at the -front- of the market, where you are -not- once you’ve spent all your money
) but it was pretty amusing. I think the most money was spent at the games booth. brendan and erlynn got awesome outfits at a chinese clothes shop. erlynn actually got two tops, and they both looked so cute on her. brendan looked like a real kung-fu scary guy in his outfit
mark got the same outfit as brendan, and wore the shirt part of it the rest of the day. all black, with cute toggles on the shirt.
I found an awesome spiderman t-shirt for Jaiden. was only 4 bucks, but was yellow and I wanted green, but it was -spiderman- so I bought it anyway
oh, and I actually saw 2001 maniacs last night. Jason was watching it while I read my book (which is how I watch movies. with a book.
) and I kept looking up (and listening) cause of all the interesting noises (Screaming, sucking, popping. all those fun gory noises). There wasn’t as much sex in it as I’d have liked, but I guess in retrospect, it’d be kinda gross to have sex with someone who’s been dead for so long. the cannibalism was presented so humorously I didn’t mind as much as I would’ve, which is actually a statment which can be applied to the movie as a whole. it wasn’t gory so much as funny, because it was so damn ridiculous. glad I didn’t have any of those awful acidy feelings in my tummy.
been playing a lot of WOW and Phantom Brave. also sims 2.
people keep giving me games, cause they know how bored I get. it’s awesome
I’ve gotten a bunch more books too. since I’ve pretty much exhausted nora roberts, I’ve moved on to collecting catherine coulter.
oh oh, if anybody wants me to do a drawing for ‘em, gimme descriptions and stuff (I know Ashi wanted me to do a drawing of one of his favorite characters, and I’m still summoning up the courage for that. I’m not very good at duplicating stuffs, or whatever it’s called. fan art?) =^.^=
oh, the doctor said today that I’m fine, and he’s having me come back in two weeks instead of the anticipated one. awesome! that means my heartbeat stuff’s fine now
week 35, folks! not much longer now. kinda scary
June 18th (Father’s day!) is the estimated birth date, though only 5% of the population actually gives birth on the said date.
can’t think of anything else to add, but I’m sure I’ve missed something! maybe I’ll post again, what with all this free time
have fun =^.^=
