the sad lori kity ;.;

yes! with one t!
she decided to start hiccuping today and stalled right when I was turning out of Jason’s work (borders near mathilda and el camino, very very busy street at all times of day). nothing like being stuck in the middle of two lanes, sideways, when the gas pedal merely suggests that the car go forward >..> and I -didn’t- pass out! so woot :D

also, my doctor says I’ve already gained 15 pounds this pregnancy, and that I shouldn’t gain more than a half pound a week until d-day (Which it turns out is June 18th, father’s day! ironic, eh?). all jason’s co-workers are betting on when Jaiden’ll come out -.- not sure how I feel about it :P

anywayyyy
*hughughugs*
I’M STILL HERE!

    Regular Maintenance! Get it done!

There may be a couple more hoses that should be replaced .. when I had it towed back from SF (also overheated), there was a cracked (from age) hose that the water leaked out from. I seem to remember it was spraying water on the hot engine and turning it into steam instantly.

Hondas are reliable cars and run for a long time with little maintenance, but that’s where the problems come in — when you don’t do anything at all (or very little), it’ll leave you stranded. They need love. The things to more frequently check are the cooling system, brakes, and spark plugs.

It sounds like you have someone that works on your car already — I’ll continue to give Hondacraft a strong recommendation .. Vi is fair, honest, compotent, and doesn’t sell you crap you don’t need.

Honda engines also don’t respond well to being flooded with gas (which happens when you push the gas pedal all the way down).

Sorry if this comes across as harsh, it’s not meant to be that way.

It’s good that you kept your composure enough to get out of the road. The worst thing to do is lose it altogether, so it’s good you didn’t. I’m glad you and Jaiden are okay. :)
My 1st accident was when I was 16 and I rolled a GMC Suburban from the top of a small hill across the freeway on Hwy 1. Even as a new driver (and a young one at that) I kept my eyes open so I could watch what it was like to roll (knowing I’d probably never get to experience it again). It’s interesting to see how we react during a crisis. :)
I’m glad no one hit you. *hug*

you’re jus saying stuff I already know. :P
as far as Hondacraft, I was planning on going there, but Rene’s mechanic was literally five minutes away and we didn’t want to put more strain on it. Rene’s got some kinda plan worked out with them as far as payments go, so that’s why he goes to him. the mechanic also knows a lot about hondas. he looked really excited to be getting into a honda engine :P
I didn’t push the gas all the way down, I just pushed it down further than I normally would for starting from 0mph.

    wow. that’s scary.
my grampa’s always on some tractor (he collects them), and he prefers them -without- the cage, so it’s always really scary for everyone in the family. he says it’s easier to get out of a tractor if there’s no cage, and that it’s actually -more- dangerous to be surrounded by the cage, especially if the tractor’s going to blow up or something. I agree on some levels, and I hope he’s agile enough to leap from it before it crushes him in gears or something.
it sounds cool, rolling down the hill in a vehicle like that, so long as nothing smashed down on my head >.< I also hate broken glass.
I'm glad nobody hit me, too! :D *hughug*

Well, I don’t really know what to say about the driving story, because I don’t understand like 90% (me no have liscence or taken driving class)… but it’s good to know you’re okay.

And D-Day (6-18) is not just Father’s day, you know.
    It’s also my b-day! :P

  • lorikitty

    hehe XD
    cool beans!
you were born on father’s day :P

  • taiyounotekken

    June 18th, 1984, was a Father’s day?
Keep in mind, Father’s Day is always on a Sunday so the specific date varies.

  • lorikitty

    oh?
    hrm.
    I didn’t know that =o.O=
